What we are preparing
- A curated prop firm list
- Each firm's rules, side by side
- Discount codes through TradeHub
- Trader toolkit: charts, journal, VPS

A prop firm gives a funded account to traders who pass an evaluation, then shares the profit. Most accounts fail not because the strategy is wrong, but because one rule was missed. Learn the rules here while the TradeHub firm list is prepared.

This page is educational. No prop firm is offered through TradeHub yet. Prop firms are not supervised by an Indonesian financial authority, an evaluation fee can be lost, and trading carries a high level of risk. Nothing on this page is financial advice or an invitation to buy any firm's evaluation.
What a prop firm is
Short for proprietary trading firm.
A prop firm provides trading accounts funded with the firm's capital. You pay a fee to take an evaluation. If you pass, you trade a funded account and the profit is split between you and the firm.
What you put at stake is usually the evaluation fee, not the account capital. In exchange, you must follow strict risk rules, and one breach can end the account.
- Evaluation (challenge)
- The test stage before a funded account. It has a profit target and loss limits.
- Funded account
- The firm-funded account you trade after passing.
- Profit split
- The share of profit for you and for the firm.
- Drawdown
- A drop from a given point. Firms use daily and overall drawdown limits.
- Reset and retake
- Retaking an evaluation, usually for another fee.
- Scaling
- A bigger account after you consistently meet the firm's conditions.
Three evaluation models
Names differ by firm, but the patterns are roughly these three.
- 01
Two-step evaluation
The most common model. Step one tests a profit target, step two (verification) usually has a lighter target.
- Suits
- Patient, consistent traders
- Watch
- Pass twice, comply twice
- 02
One-step evaluation
A single step before the funded account. Faster, but the rules are often stricter, such as tighter loss limits.
- Suits
- Traders with small risk per position
- Watch
- Which drawdown type is used
- 03
Instant funding
A funded account with no evaluation. It generally costs more and has stricter payout rules.

- Experienced traders

- Consistency and payout terms
The rules that fail most accounts
Read these eight in any firm's terms before you pay.
- Daily loss limit
- The most you may lose in one day. Check whether it is measured from the day's starting balance or equity, and when the day resets on the firm's server clock, not yours.
- Overall loss limit
- The most you may lose over the account's life. It can be static or trailing (see below).
- Minimum trading days
- The minimum number of days you must trade before you can pass.
- Consistency rule
- Some firms cap how much of your total profit can come from a single day or trade.
- News and weekends
- Some firms ban positions around major news releases or holding over the weekend.
- Banned strategies
- For example hedging across accounts, copying from another account, or certain EAs. Read the list.
- Inactivity
- An account can be closed if there is no trading for a set period.
- Payout conditions
- The schedule, minimum, and identity checks before profit can be withdrawn.
Loss-limit simulator
How many times can you be wrong before the account fails? Enter the numbers and see at once.
Daily loss limit
0Overall loss limit
0Risk per trade
0Losses in a row to the daily limit
0Losses in a row to the overall limit: 0
A simple calculation with fixed risk per trade and no costs. Spread, commission, and slippage make you reach the limits sooner.Static or trailing: a big difference
Two accounts with the same limit number can give very different room.
Static drawdown
The limit stays at one level from the starting balance. Profit you build becomes extra room before you reach it.
Trailing drawdown
The limit rises with your balance or equity peak. Profit does not add room, so a drop from the peak can end the account.
Potential and risk
Look at both before you buy an evaluation.
The potential
- Access to far more capital than your savings.
- The upfront financial risk is usually limited to the evaluation fee.
- A large share of the profit can be yours, under the firm's scheme.
- Strict rules force good risk-management habits.
What to watch for
- Many participants fail, and the evaluation fee is lost.
- Funded accounts are often simulated. Profit payouts depend on the firm's policy and finances.
- A firm can change its rules, refuse a payout over a breach, or stop operating.
- Prop firms are not supervised by an Indonesian financial authority.
How to judge a prop firm
Six things that will also guide our own curation.
- Written rules that do not keep changingTargets, loss limits, drawdown type, and bans written clearly in one document.
- A payout track recordPayout proof you can check, not just social media testimonials.
- The full costEvaluation, reset, and add-on fees, and whether the fee is refunded after you pass.
- Legal entity and addressA clear company name, country, and contact.
- Platform and data providerWhich platform is used (MT5, cTrader, and so on) and who provides the prices.
- Independent reviewsRead recent complaints, especially about refused payouts.

Frequently asked questions
Short answers about prop firms.
Does TradeHub already offer prop firms?
Not yet. This page is educational for now. The firm list opens once curation is done.
Do I use my own money?
For the evaluation fee, yes. The funded account uses the firm's capital and you do not deposit into it.
Are prop firms legal in Indonesia?
Prop firms are generally incorporated abroad and not supervised by an Indonesian financial authority. That means no local regulator protection in a dispute. Weigh that before you pay.
Is a funded account real money?
Often not. Many firms use simulated accounts and pay profit from company funds. Read the firm's terms on this.
Is there a rebate at prop firms?
Not as a per-lot rebate. What is planned is a discount code on evaluation fees. TradeHub rebates today are on Forex & CFD and Crypto Exchange.
What is a sensible risk per trade?
There is no single right number. Use the simulator above to see how many losses in a row the account can take with your numbers.
